The original tiny masonry porch (like the one on the left) stole what little light might have entered through the beautiful hand crafted glass internal living room door. Replacing the gloomy old porch with a bright new modern glass porch provided a large and pleasant space to sit in with the added benefit of maximising the available light in the rest of the house. Storage is provided in the bench seat inside and also built into bulkhead cupboard on the right below the window sill .
