JOHN DOYLE PEACE CENTRE CAMLOUGH

FLY AROUND
The development on an 8 acre site is proposed to include a Community Centre, All Weather Pitch and Social Housing. The Camlough River flows along the south eastern boundary of the site and a generous swathe of adjacent wetland is to be preserved for nature.
This perspective from the south east shows the community centre, a glimpse of the all weather playing field and the social housing beyond.
The project is at a pre-plannning application stage. Negotiations with SEUPB, the funder, are ongoing. Sketch designs have been presented to the community at public meetings in the locality for appraisal, comment and offers of assistance. Funding arrangements will also affect the design. When community and funding criteria are agreed Newry and Mourne District Council will progress to a planning application.
