This is an existing semi-detached dwelling in a provincial town in Northern Ireland. The challenge was to provide independant living accommodation on the site for an adult family member. Under current planning policy this had to take the form of an extension, subordinate and connected to the main house.
This perspective shows the extension to the left of the existing house. Following lively discussion with Planning Service it now has the benefit of planning permission, is recently completed and is large enough and flexible enough to meet the user's needs.
The picture on the right hand side is a computer generated image showing the extension added.
